Our photography is driven by the desire to honestly capture the unique joys, beauty, spirit, grace and exuberance of each wedding day.

Using the skills of anticipation, patience and keen & thoughtful observation honed through years of work as a photojournalist and documentary photographer, Kate's working style involves an unobtrusive presence that is different than the working style of traditional studio wedding photography. Though semi-formal portraits of the bride and groom and a small handful of family shots are part of every package, the rest of the photography is unposed. Kate looks for fresh, authentic moments between the bride and groom and wedding guests as they spontaneously occur. These moments, framed on film, create meaningful photographs which clients cherish. Kate has been hired to create these images from clients throughout Colorado, and from California to Maine.

This style of shooting drives our pricing. We don't like to limit our hours or specify the exact amount of film we will shoot. Most weddings will be slightly different, yet still fall within a standard range of hours and frames required to capture it all.

We still use film to photograph weddings. Clients are able to view the beauty of film and tangible 'paper' proofs while also acquiring high quality scans for the minimal additional cost of $25/roll (*typically $450-$550/wedding)

Standard packages - for weddings up to 160 people and one day- include:

• All film needed to capture the day

• Photographers time (typically 6- 10 hours)

• A beautiful 11 x 14" Leather Milano album of 350-425 4 x 6" prints

• Handcrafted folders of 8 x 10" enlargements for parents and bride and groom

• Fifty unique handcrafted cards

•Unique narrative DVD of selected moments and photographs (+ copies)

• All negatives, free of charge

Standard package price for 2006-2007 season is $2750.00

Non Standard Weddings:

Occasionally weddings fall outside standard parameters. Small intimate weddings of 25 people or less typically require less time and film and are priced accordingly. Weddings whose guest lists exceed approximately 165 guests, cover more than 10 hours or are outside a 50 mile radius of Breckenridge may require additional fees to cover an assistant, extra film and travel.
